Automotive Lab Instructor

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain automotive labs, equipment, and materials to support instructional activities
• Ensure a safe and organized lab environment in compliance with established safety standards
• Assist faculty with technical demonstrations and provide supervision during lab sessions
• Guide and support students in developing hands-on automotive skills
• Monitor equipment, manage supplies, and report any maintenance needs

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certificate in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience in a classroom, lab, or industry setting
• Computer literacy and strong organizational skills
• Communication skills including public speaking ability
• Valid Texas Driver’s License with a good driving record and ability to be insured by the college

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a related field
• Previous experience teaching in a college or high school setting
