Automotive Inspection Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the daily operations of the vehicle inspection department
• Manage a team of inspectors, apprentices, and technicians while promoting accountability and productivity
• Ensure all vehicles meet quality and safety standards prior to retail readiness
• Oversee vehicle inspections, diagnostics, repair recommendations, and quality control processes
• Monitor production timelines and establish department KPIs
• Partner with leadership to improve workflows and operational efficiency
• Provide coaching, mentorship, and ongoing training to team members
• Support hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance management
• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment
• Manage department resources, tooling, and equipment maintenance

Requirements

• Minimum 5–7 years of automotive experience
• At least 3 years in a leadership or management role
• Strong understanding of vehicle inspections, diagnostics, and repair processes
• Experience managing technicians, apprentices, or production teams
• 310S License strongly preferred or equivalent hands-on technician experience
• Data-driven mindset with experience tracking KPIs
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and overtime
