About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain ISO 26262 work products including Technical Safety Concept, FMEDA, FTA, DFMEA, DFA, Safety Plan, and Safety Case for Digital DesignWare IP
- Collaborate with IP development teams and automotive customers to align functional safety deliverables with project timelines and ASIL requirements
- Evaluate customer quality, functional safety, and reliability requirements, translating them into actionable engineering guidance
- Design and implement automation scripts to streamline safety analysis workflows, including FMEDA and fault injection reporting
- Lead quality and functional safety reviews, generating detailed reports with findings and recommendations for design improvements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 5+ years of experience
- Formal training and hands-on expertise in ISO 26262 functional safety standards
- Direct experience developing safety work products for ASIL B, C, or D applications
- Demonstrated experience with semiconductor development flows and digital design at the IP or SoC level
- Proficiency in English for technical writing and cross-functional collaboration
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ISO 26262 Part 5
- Proficiency in hardware description languages such as Verilog or VHDL
- Knowledge of AEC Q100 standards
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python
