About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead SoC BSP software level functional safety architecture for Qualcomm ADAS/Autonomy SoCs
  • Define and implement the Safety Concept and Architecture of SoC BSP software
  • Define Software Safety requirements and deploy safety processes following ISO26262
  • Lead safety architecture activities for complex SoC and ADAS/AD software
  • Perform safety analysis including FMEA, DFA, and FTA
  • Collaborate with customers, architects, safety managers, and software quality teams to ensure adherence to ISO26262 and ASPICE processes

Requirements

  • 10-15 years of industry experience in embedded software, specifically within the automotive domain
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in ISO26262 (specifically Part 6)
  • Proven experience in functional safety software architecture and safety requirements definition
  • Proficiency in C/C++ programming languages
  • Strong understanding of SoC architecture, ARM architecture, and SoC peripherals
  • Deep knowledge of low-level BSP software, drivers, RTOS, and operating systems like Linux or QNX
  • Experience with the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and safety analysis tools
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of software architecture and design tools such as UML or SysML
  • Experience with ASPICE or equivalent quality standards
  • Functional Safety related professional trainings or certifications
  • Experience supporting customers or OEMs with functional safety and system safety concepts
  • Experience with functional safety audits
  • Exposure to SOTIF (Safety of the Intended Functionality)
