Automotive Field Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform field and remote missions to support dealerships and technical centers across Europe
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical incidents, specifically in electricity, electronics, and multiplexing
• Use manufacturer diagnostic tools (e.g., wiTECH POD, DiagBOX VCI) for software updates and reprogramming
• Analyze systemic malfunctions and implement corrective actions
• Produce clear technical reports and incident syntheses for engineering and quality teams
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and provide on-site training to technicians
• Manage tools, equipment, and logistics related to field missions

Requirements

• Proven experience in the automotive sector (technical support, diagnostics, or workshop)
• Strong field experience resolving complex electrical/electronic vehicle faults
• Proficiency with manufacturer diagnostic platforms and electrical schematics
• Knowledge of modern automotive systems (powertrain, chassis, ADAS, CAN/LIN/FlexRay networks)
• Excellent technical writing skills for incident reporting and repair instructions
• High level of English (written and oral)
• Ability to travel extensively (field-based role)

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience providing field support at a European scale
• Multi-brand familiarity
• Proficiency in other European languages
