Automotive Diesel Mechanic Jr

Responsibilities

• Assist journeyman level workers with maintenance and logistic services for ground combat vehicles and support equipment
• Perform specific duties including wire wheeling, grinding, drilling, masking, and stenciling
• Maintain equipment by applying parts and stowing/preserving SL-3 components
• Execute levels 1 and 2 of corrosion control on assets
• Supply necessary equipment, materials, and tools for tasks
• Assist with the handling and disposal of hazardous materials
• Perform operator maintenance and other tasks as directed by supervisors

Requirements

• Two years of experience and completion of or active enrollment in a vocational school
• U.S. Citizenship
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) and Base Access
• Valid State Motor Vehicle Operator License (ability to obtain a Tactical Operator License is required)
• Physically capable of wearing a respirator
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders, work at heights, and work in enclosed environments
• Ability to comply with all established safety, quality, and time standards
