Automotive Apprentice

Responsibilities

• Perform light vehicle repairs and general servicing
• Conduct LGV, Bus, and Coach repairs and servicing
• Execute vehicle fault finding and diagnostic checks using specialized equipment
• Assist with Durability test preparation and vehicle measurements
• Complete detailed work tickets and written reports on all actions taken
• Adhere to all Health, Safety, and Quality procedures within the workshop
• Learn automotive technology through hands-on training with skilled technicians and engineers

Requirements

• Minimum GCSE grade C in Maths, English, and Science
• Full driving licence
• Ability to provide own transport to the Millbrook site (no public transport available)
• Competent IT skills, specifically with MS Word and Excel
• A strong interest in vehicles and engineering
• Willingness to undergo a Criminal Disclosure check

Preferred Qualifications

• A keen desire to achieve academically through college-based training (up to HND level)
• Excellent attention to detail and a mature approach to work
