Automotive Apprentice Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform standardized vehicle inspections, including stationary checks and road tests
• Diagnose and assess mechanical and safety issues
• Provide recommendations on repairs and preventative maintenance
• Complete routine maintenance and minor repairs such as brake jobs, suspension work, and fluid changes
• Document all repairs and inspection findings in Clutch systems
• Communicate vehicle status and workflow changes to reconditioning staff and management

Requirements

• 3+ years of automotive technician experience
• Experience with domestic, import, and European vehicle brands
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract
• Ability to work a full-time 40-hour weekly schedule including overtime
• Proficiency with technology like Google Drive and Slack

Preferred Qualifications

• Formal automotive technician training or relevant certifications
• Experience with advanced diagnostic or scan tools
• Previous apprenticeship experience in a reconditioning or dealership environment
