About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide planned automated equipment maintenance and rapid technical response for electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems
- Manage critical spares and perform maintenance on voltage distribution systems, motor control centres, and robotic solutions
- Use and update schematics, software, hardware, and wiring diagrams to ensure compliance with specifications
- Assist in the installation, repair, retrofit, modification, calibration, and testing of electrical/electronic plant facilities
- Coordinate with management, engineering, and contractors for failure analysis and problem resolution on automated systems
- Compile hardware and software justifications and commissions while acting as a focal point for customers and suppliers
Requirements
- Technical craft apprenticeship within a relevant engineering discipline
- Proven industrial experience
- Experience with automated electronic and mechanical systems
- Proficiency with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
- Knowledge of electrical and motor control systems
- Experience with instrumentation systems and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with robotics
- Experience with Computer Numerical Control (CNC) systems
