Automation Technician

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot all conveyor systems, electrical and mechanical components
• Serve as the resident expert for material handling equipment functionality and setup
• Verify operations of PLC, motors, sensors, pick-to-light systems, and computer interfaces
• Train the team on the operation and maintenance of MHE and related software
• Identify root causes of equipment failure and recommend solutions
• Collaborate with vendors for preventive maintenance and equipment improvement projects
• Manage maintenance and facilities contracts and spare parts inventory
• Provide support after normal operating hours for emergency breakdowns

Requirements

• Ability to install and troubleshoot power distribution, branch circuits, and lighting systems
• Proficiency with relay logic, ladder diagrams, motor starters, sensors, and servo drives
• Ability to troubleshoot PLC programs, ladder logic, and Ethernet communications
• Experience using CMMS
• Ability to lift 50 lbs repetitively
• Comfortable climbing ladders and utilizing aerial lifts up to 60 feet

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with warehouse automation systems or equipment
