Automation Technician II

Responsibilities

• Support equipment installations by providing technical information and machine requirements
• Assist with equipment installation alongside Maintenance and Electricians to meet safety standards
• Develop delivery paths and rigging plans for safe equipment movement
• Coordinate maintenance needs and preventive maintenance requirements for new equipment
• Troubleshoot and optimize systems during installation, startup, and early production
• Verify electrical connections and controls integration
• Support in-house automation initiatives, including maintaining and improving existing systems
• Contribute to continuous improvement for equipment reliability and system stability

Requirements

• Associate degree or technical certification in industrial maintenance, automation, mechatronics, or related field
• Experience supporting industrial equipment installation and startup in manufacturing
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and basic controls systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and documentation
• Experience working in plant or production-based environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting robotics systems and automated equipment
• Hands-on experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting
• Familiarity with retrofitting or upgrading legacy machinery
• Understanding of preventive maintenance planning for automated equipment
