Automation Technician

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair conveyance, automation, and facilities equipment to support operations uptime
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections on conveyors, automation, robotics, and ancillary equipment
• Troubleshoot out-of-service equipment and act as an escalation point for lower-level technicians
• Document all work in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
• Mentor maintenance personnel in mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems
• Lead root cause analysis of major downtime events
• Audit maintenance and vendor work to ensure quality and SLA performance
• Write and modify preventive maintenance (PM) procedures

Requirements

• 4-6 years of experience with conveyor, automation, robotics, or refrigeration repair
• Advanced understanding of machinery and equipment
• Ability to read and understand drawings, schematics, and diagrams
• Experience troubleshooting inputs, outputs, and PLC logic systems
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Ability to travel up to 10% for business purposes

Preferred Qualifications

• Mechatronics associates degree or equivalent
