Automation Technician

Responsibilities

• Maintain continuous system operation by adjusting, repairing, replacing, or modifying automation and robotic system components
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to return them to serviceability
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on all subsystems and process support equipment
• Analyze engineering test results and implement changes to resolve technical problems
• Collaborate with the automation team during the qualification process of automated systems
• Assist engineers in developing and designing hardware and software for automation solutions
• Record procedures, results, and numerical or graphical data for documentation
• Train other technicians and operators on products, processes, and equipment

Requirements

• Understanding of PLCs
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams, including complex automated system drawings
• Experience troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Proficiency in the use of power tools and measuring equipment
• Strong awareness of safety protocols
