About the role

Responsibilities

  • Maintain continuous system operation by adjusting, repairing, replacing, or modifying automation and robotic system components
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to return them to serviceability
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on all subsystems and process support equipment
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical diagrams, and complex automated system drawings
  • Analyze engineering test results and implement changes to resolve technical problems
  • Collaborate with the automation team during the qualification process of automated systems
  • Record procedures, numerical/graphical data, and recommendations for product or method changes
  • Assist engineers in developing and designing hardware and software for automation solutions
  • Train other technicians and operators on products, processes, and equipment
  • Maintain a strong awareness of safety protocols and proper use of power tools and measuring equipment

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED (required)
  • Understanding of PLCs
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems
  • Experience performing preventative maintenance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree
  • 5+ years of electronics experience
