About the role

Responsibilities

  • Maintain continuous system operation by adjusting, repairing, replacing, or modifying automation and robotic system components
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to return them to serviceability
  • Perform preventative maintenance, calibrations, and re-qualifications on robotic and process support equipment
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical diagrams, and complex automated system drawings
  • Collaborate with the automation team on the qualification process of automated systems
  • Assist engineers in developing hardware and software solutions and formulating test and repair procedures
  • Identify machine malfunctions through troubleshooting and isolate failure mechanisms
  • Disassemble instruments and equipment to inspect components for defects and perform necessary repairs

Requirements

  • Experience with material handling, automation, and/or robotics equipment
  • Proficiency in electronic assembly, including PCB loading and mechanical assembly
  • Skills in cable work, including crimping, harness assembly, and soldering
  • Ability to use testing equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and cable testers
  • Experience with machine operations like surface mount insertion and wave soldering
  • Proficiency with mechanical and electrical tools, including power air guns, taps, dies, and measuring tools
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to understand PLCs
  • Ability to work the E Shift (6:00am-6:00pm Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Wednesday)
