About the role
Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and maintain controls, electrical, and instrumentation equipment in compliance with piping and instrument diagrams
- Test and repair electrical and instrumentation systems to ensure adherence to Control Narratives and Cause & Effects
- Evaluate electrical systems and instrumentation to establish repair plans and perform preventative maintenance
- Interface with, troubleshoot, and repair various control and networking devices
- Work daily with Operations, Engineering, and other organizational groups to meet safety, environmental, and production goals
- Manage on-call responsibilities to support oil and gas operations
Requirements
- Ability to operate hand tools or other equipment to accomplish assigned tasks
- Effective communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking)
- Ability to work in various locations, both indoors and outdoors, in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures
- Must possess a valid driver's license and utilize safe driving skills
- Ability to maintain a consistent safe work ethic and follow regulatory procedures
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years of experience as an IC&E Technician or an Associate’s Degree in Instrumentation Controls or Electrical Systems
- Proficiency in PLC (ladder logic, Modicon, Allen Bradley, Fisher ROC, IDEC, etc.)
- Knowledge of PID control loops and Rosemount Transmitters/Hart protocol
- Understanding of Oil Field Delivery Systems (Well Pad to Tank Battery to Central Delivery Points)
- Experience with control valves and positioners
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
