Automation Technician

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and commission modern test benches and production systems
• Select appropriate hardware and software components, including sensors, actuators, and controllers
• Develop, adapt, and optimize PLC programs (e.g., Siemens S7, TIA Portal, Mitsubishi)
• Build, test, calibrate, and commission automated systems to ensure high measurement accuracy
• Perform maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on electrical and control systems
• Optimize testing and production processes to increase efficiency
• Create and maintain technical documentation, test reports, and operating instructions

Requirements

• Completed training or advanced qualification as an Automation Technician, Mechatronics Engineer, or similar (e.g., Electrical Engineering Technician or Engineer)
• Sound knowledge of measurement, control, and regulation technology
• Practical experience in PLC programming, specifically with Siemens S7, TIA Portal, and/or Mitsubishi
• Knowledge of process visualization
• Analytical thinking skills and a structured, independent, and solution-oriented way of working

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with LabVIEW applications
• Basic knowledge of database systems such as Oracle or SQL
• Experience connecting automation and control systems to databases
