Automation Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform proactive and reactive maintenance on plant equipment and machinery to ensure optimal working conditions and reliability
• Conduct root cause analysis to resolve equipment failures and implement corrective actions
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues involving conveyors, pallet handling systems, and other manufacturing machinery
• Support site reliability initiatives by identifying failure modes and improving equipment performance
• Execute maintenance tasks and maintain accurate documentation within the CMMS
• Conduct risk assessments to ensure the safety of personnel and equipment in compliance with health and safety protocols

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in industrial machine maintenance
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics
• Experience troubleshooting industrial electrical components including motors, variable AC drives, PLCs, and field sensors
• Proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and MS Office
• Knowledge of OSHA and Control of Hazardous Energy (LOTO) procedures
• Ability to work in tight spaces, at heights, and climb steps over conveyor systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Rockwell Automation Compact Logic (RSLogix 5000)
• Experience with Yaskawa, Fanuc, or Kuka robotics
• Knowledge of 3-phase 480-volt power systems and NEC 70E Electrical Safety
• Familiarity with hydraulic pumps, pneumatic circuits, and air compressors
