Automation Technician

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and support PLC, DCS, and automation control systems
• Read and interpret P&IDs and understand process control logic
• Prepare cable schedules and perform hot & cold loop checking
• Support DCS networking and third-party communication systems
• Maintain UPS systems to ensure uninterrupted operation of automation equipment
• Assist in commissioning, testing, and optimizing automation systems
• Maintain technical documentation and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards

Requirements

• ITI, Diploma, or Bachelor's degree in Automation, Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
• 3–5 years of experience in the starch manufacturing industry
• Hands-on experience with Siemens S7 PLCs
• Knowledge of Siemens PCS 7 is an advantage
• Experience with DCS networking, third-party communication, cable scheduling, and loop checking
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and technical documentation
• Ability to read P&IDs and troubleshoot automation systems
