Automation & Robotics Engineer Apprentice

Responsibilities

• Draft machine specifications and manage full project lifecycles from supplier reception to factory installation
• Coordinate and monitor machine project stages, including design and implementation
• Define and standardize automation architectures for production equipment
• Develop and optimize industrial processes, including robotic cells, vision control systems, and data acquisition (Industry 4.0)
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by sharing best practices and capitalizing on past experiences

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an Engineering program specializing in Automation or Robotics
• Solid foundations in industrial automation, specifically with Siemens TIA Portal
• Experience programming S7-1500 CPUs and HMI via WinCC Advanced
• Knowledge of industrial networks, Ethernet communication, and Profinet
• Proficiency in English for working in an international context
• Ability to travel occasionally within Europe to various sites

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ABB industrial robots
• Proficiency in CAD (Computer-Aided Design)
• Skills in industrial software development (Python, .NET, C++, or LabVIEW)
• Previous experience with machine commissioning or integration of third-party equipment via OPC-UA or TCP/IP
