About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage automation projects from initiation through final production, focusing on cost reduction, quality improvement, and capacity increase
- Coordinate automation department resources, including engineers and technicians, to ensure project goals are met
- Lead software development and integration projects to optimize processes and adopt emerging digital technologies
- Coordinate with external suppliers, including analyzing proposals, managing legal contracts, and overseeing purchase orders
- Participate in the validation of new production lines and technologies
- Execute continuous improvement projects and support the startup of remote manufacturing plants
- Ensure all quality-related activities and documentation comply with ISO 13485 standards
- Provide structured project visibility, risk management, and status reporting to management and stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- 4-6 years of experience in an automation or similar engineering role
- Proven experience in medical device manufacturing operations
- Strong knowledge of ISO 13485 standards
- Advanced English fluency
- Strong leadership and agile project management skills (Scrum/Kanban)
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green Belt), or Scrum
- Experience with technologies such as .NET, SQL Server/PostgreSQL, CI/CD, and data acquisition
- Knowledge of Machine Learning applied to industrial processes
- Experience in World-Class Manufacturing environments
