About the role

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for Plant Control Systems (PCS/SCADA), Building Automation Systems (BAS), and Data Historian Analytics.
  • Drive automation projects to expand capacity, improve operational efficiency, and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Act as the automation technical lead for plant expansions and upgrades, including managing contractors and consultants.
  • Manage the design, implementation, and maintenance of automation systems for GMP manufacturing operations.
  • Create control system life cycle design specifications and lead project-related change controls.
  • Ensure data integrity and compliance with 21CFR Part 11 standards.
  • Support Commissioning, Qualification, and Validation (CQV) activities as the primary automation point of contact.
  • Collaborate with IT/OT services to support the development of necessary network architectures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • 4+ years of combined controls experience with increasing complexity.
  • Proven project management experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Rockwell Automation products.
  • Proficiency with GE Proficy iFix SCADA, Ignition by Inductive Automation, and ThinManager.
  • Familiarity with server and network architecture.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in GMP or pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.
