Automation Operator

Responsibilities

• Lead the operation of Entertainment Automation Systems at the Walt Disney Theatre including all stage scenic elements during shows
• Supervise the maintenance and safe operation of all rigging equipment used in outdoor shows and events
• Train in all outdoor rigging positions to safely operate during shows
• Contribute to load in/outs, cast changeovers, new show installations, equipment tests, and vendor support

Requirements

• Minimum five years of show production experience in a similar role
• Experience operating computerized automation control equipment (Acrobat G6 Console with e-Chameleon and/or epiQ Console with Navigator Software)
• Experience or qualifications in theatrical/entertainment-based rigging operations
• Proficiency with hydraulics, electronics, electric motors, motor drives, and automated rigging devices
• Ability to work at heights and in environments with haze, fog, and special effects
• Willingness to live and work onboard a vessel in a multicultural environment
