Automation Field Engineer

Responsibilities

• Commission palletizing and transport systems for national and international clients
• Perform functional testing of packaging and palletizing machines (traditional and robotic) both in-house and on-site
• Execute PLC, HMI/SCADA, and Motion Control programming
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical faults and malfunctions on-site
• Provide technical training to operators at client locations
• Draft technical reports and contribute to continuous product improvement activities

Requirements

• Technical degree or diploma, preferably in electronics
• Proficiency in Siemens programming (Step 7 and TIA Portal)
• Experience with Rockwell Studio 5000 (ControlLogix and CompactLogix) and Rockwell Kinetix Motion
• Experience with Fanuc Robot programming
• Fluency in English; knowledge of a second foreign language is a plus
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in multicultural environments
• Willingness to travel internationally approximately 70% of the time

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous industrial experience in the beverage or packaging machinery sector
• Knowledge of Rockwell Safety (GuardLogix) and SEW MoviTools/MoviSuite
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
