Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver automation solutions, taking ownership of key project deliverables and outcomes
• Lead system design, development, and technical problem-solving activities
• Coordinate automation project delivery, ensuring timelines and objectives are met across the project lifecycle
• Perform functionality development, factory acceptance testing (FAT), and commissioning activities
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to drive project success
• Travel up to 25% to customer sites to support project delivery and commissioning

Requirements

• Proven success delivering automation or control system projects
• Experience with automation platforms such as Rockwell, Schneider, Siemens, or Aveva
• Experience with factory acceptance testing (FAT) and commissioning activities
• University-level engineering qualification
• New Zealand or Australian residency with full working rights

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of industrial network setup and design
• Knowledge of food and beverage industry processes
• Experience with databases and database concepts
• Experience working with legacy control systems
