Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of site process automation and controls systems
• Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC and HMI programs
• Identify and drive improvement opportunities for equipment, instrument, and process optimization
• Lead the deployment of the full system lifecycle including commissioning and validation
• Troubleshoot automation and controls systems issues and conduct root cause analysis
• Conduct risk assessments of automation and controls systems
• Ensure systems meet regulatory requirements through validation activities

Requirements

• BS in Engineering (Computer, Electrical, Systems, or related) with 2+ years of experience, or HS diploma/GED with 10+ years of experience
• Experience in process automation and controls systems (PLC, SCADA, HMI) in pharmaceutical or manufacturing environments
• Experience reading electrical schematics and P&IDs
• Proficiency in Ignition SCADA/HMI
• Knowledge of Rockwell and Siemens PLC and HMI coding
• Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills
