Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support and sustain automated manufacturing equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and consistent production performance
• Troubleshoot automation and equipment issues involving PLC, HMI, robotics, SCADA, sensors, actuators, and vision systems
• Provide hands-on support for production breakdowns, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
• Manage automation changes, equipment upgrades, and continuous improvement projects from start to completion
• Create and maintain technical documentation and equipment records in accordance with QMS requirements
• Adhere to ISO 13485, GMP, and internal quality system requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Automation, Control Systems Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in automation, controls, or manufacturing support
• Hands-on experience with PLC and HMI programming, troubleshooting, and fault finding
• Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and pneumatic diagrams
• Experience supporting automated manufacturing equipment in a production environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional team

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and Ignition SCADA
• Experience with FANUC robots
• Knowledge of machine vision, servo/motion control, and industrial networks
• Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, or other regulated manufacturing environments
• Understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem-solving methodologies
