Automation Engineer – Process Automation (DCS/PCS7)

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and implement DCS solutions from concept to FAT/SAT and commissioning
• System design and programming of DCS/PLC/SCADA solutions
• Migration and upgrading of existing automation platforms
• Integration of field instrumentation, networks, and communication protocols (Profibus, Profinet, OPC UA)
• Perform verification and validation according to applicable standards
• Deliver functional commitments and complete system solutions

Requirements

• Engineering degree (Civil, University, or Vocational)
• Several years of experience in designing and implementing process automation systems
• Deep expertise in Siemens SIMATIC PCS 7
• Experience with other DCS/PLC/SCADA platforms (e.g., ABB 800xA, Emerson DeltaV, Honeywell)
• Valid B-driver's license and willingness to travel within Sweden
• Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English
• Ability to undergo security clearance for sensitive projects

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with model-based simulation (e.g., SIMIT, MATLAB/Simulink)
• Experience with system upgrades and legacy system migration
• Knowledge of ISA-88/ISA-95 and industrial automation standards
