Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead machinery development and automation expertise across all project phases to maintain industry leadership through innovation.
• Design machine concepts, including PLC, HMI, database, and BOM definition for automation parts.
• Pilot new or upgraded machine automation development to ensure no critical issues during the development phase.
• Support industrial engineers with costing, machine design reviews, DFM&A, and PFMEA.
• Provide technical support for productivity, quality, and process problems during mass production.
• Ensure machine development meets "three zero" targets: zero accidents, zero customer claims, and zero delays.
• Comply with all company safety procedures, regulations, and required PPE.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Design, Automatism, or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in PLC programming or mechanical design.
• Mastery of SIEMENS PLC programming.
• Mastery of HMI programming (IN-TOUCH, Proface).
• Strong knowledge of electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and electric drawing.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in French.
• Knowledge of database management programming.
• Basic knowledge of metal and plastic materials, manufacturing, and welding process control.
