Automation Engineer, Officer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and scale automated test frameworks and regression suites to validate business requirements.
• Perform hands-on front-end automation testing using tools such as Playwright or Selenium.
• Test REST APIs, microservices, Azure Functions, and serverless workflows.
• Build and integrate CI/CD pipelines to execute functional, integration, regression, and performance tests.
• Execute manual and automated test suites and proactively collaborate with developers to resolve defects.
• Write SQL queries independently to validate data correctness and support root-cause analysis.
• Mentor junior QA engineers on test design, automation best practices, and Agile quality standards.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software QA with a strong emphasis on test automation.
• Proven experience as a hands-on individual contributor.
• Expertise in UI and API automation (e.g., Selenium, Rest Assured, or equivalent).
• Proficiency in Java.
• Strong understanding of test frameworks such as TestNG or Cucumber (BDD).
• Strong manual testing fundamentals and test design methodologies.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery models.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution.
• Ability to write SQL queries for data validation and defect analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to performance testing concepts and tools.
• Experience testing complex enterprise platforms, specifically financial systems.
• Experience with Jira and modern test management practices.
