Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on automation support for drug product (fill/finish) manufacturing equipment and control systems
• Troubleshoot equipment and system issues to maintain uptime and product quality in a 24/7 GMP environment
• Support PLC, SCADA, and associated digital systems, including system configuration, testing, and fault finding
• Perform root cause analysis to implement corrective or preventative actions
• Assist with FAT, SAT, and CQV lifecycle activities and contribute to design reviews
• Maintain system compliance in line with GMP, CSV, and data integrity requirements
• Support deviations, CAPAs, and change controls while maintaining GMP documentation

Requirements

• 3–6 years of experience in GMP manufacturing or a similar regulated environment
• Demonstrated experience with PLC/SCADA system development and support for highly automated equipment
• Experience with virtualization configuration and troubleshooting
• Proficiency with Microsoft enterprise system integration (e.g., Active Directory, SQL)
• Knowledge of Industrial Automation protocols such as Ethernet IP, Modbus, or OPC
• Understanding of GMP and Computer System Validation (CSV)
• Experience with fill/finish or drug product manufacturing
• Hands-on experience with Rockwell, Siemens, Wonderware, PI, or MES
• Experience supporting CQV and validation processes
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills within cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (BENg) in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Computer systems
