Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain automated intra-logistical warehouse equipment including conveyors, elevators, shuttle cars, robots, and palletizers.
• Ensure equipment reliability and product quality through preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
• Act as a superuser for PLC programming, HMI, ERP (COMBI 2.0), SAP, and WMS platforms.
• Conduct root cause analysis on equipment failures to implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Develop standardized approaches for robot programming, safety protocols, and operator interfaces.
• Lead technical initiatives to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Generate Power BI reports to monitor equipment capacity and performance.
• Manage the full equipment life cycle and drive continuous improvement of machinery and processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Proficient work experience in PLC programming.
• Experience with intra-logistical systems, such as automatic retrieval systems, palletizers, or rolling conveyors.
• Proven experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Allen Bradley or Siemens PLC platforms.
• Experience with HMI and ERP systems like SAP.
