About the role

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and maintain custom automation and robotics systems
  • Analyze production processes and workstreams to identify efficiency improvements and cost-reduction opportunities
  • Design and implement manufacturing technology to optimize throughput and operational cycle time
  • Partner with industrial and manufacturing engineers to develop work standards, time studies, and ergonomic analyses
  • Conduct root cause analysis to resolve production issues in collaboration with quality and operations teams
  • Provide technical support for new product development to ensure manufacturability and scalability
  • Support the creation and maintenance of process documentation, including process flows and SOPs
  • Participate in cross-functional teams for new product introduction and equipment validation
  • Travel up to 25% to other L3Harris sites

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 6 years of manufacturing experience (or Graduate Degree with 4 years, or 10 years of experience in lieu of a degree)
  • 2+ years of experience integrating automation systems with business and manufacturing systems
  • 2+ years of experience with automation systems design/sustainment involving robotic cells, vision systems, or motion control
  • 2+ years of experience programming control systems including PLC, HMI, and VFD
  • 2+ years of experience developing functional requirements specification documents
  • Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance required on day one

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in project management
  • Ability to read electrical design schematics
  • Experience programming Fanuc robotics systems and simulations
  • Experience with parametric modeling solutions
