Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform 3D simulations for new project tooling and define requirements for automated production.
• Ensure the correct operation of end-of-arm tooling, cutters, and robots to meet product requirements.
• Supervise the use of tooling and robotics to guarantee product quality and equipment care.
• Review designs of end-of-arm tooling and cutters to optimize plant productivity.
• Implement process or safety improvements and participate in problem-solving using 8D methodology.
• Stop production when quality or documentation requirements are not met and initiate immediate corrective actions.
• Comply with ISO TS 16949, ISO 14001, and VDA standards, as well as company safety and conduct codes.
• Participate in A3 and Kaizen projects.

Requirements

• 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar automation or process engineering role.
• Engineering degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading and technical drawing interpretation.
• Solid knowledge of electricity, hydraulics, and electronics.
• Experience with engineering resins, tooling, and peripheral equipment.
• Knowledge of vision systems and sensor technology.
• Proficiency in PLC and robot programming.
