About the role
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot automated control processes and manufacturing equipment to prevent production delays
- Partner with manufacturing leadership to implement system improvements and drive key focus area (KFA) goals
- Perform user interventions to ensure continuous manufacturing flow and implement systems to reduce re-occurrence
- Create, update, and maintain manufacturing SOPs to ensure alignment between control systems and manual operations
- Lead small process improvement projects and participate in configuration changes, functional tests, and qualification protocols
- Own and close corrective actions (CAPA) related to automation systems and non-conformances
- Train manufacturing operators on the interaction between the manufacturing process and automation systems
- Support night shift operations (Monday-Friday, 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, Controls, or related discipline)
- Minimum 2+ years of experience supporting manufacturing automation, controls systems, or engineering operations
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve automation and process-related issues with minimal supervision
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills
- Willingness to work the night shift and operate in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Ability to work 100% onsite in a controlled manufacturing environment, including wearing special gowning
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with DeltaV, PLC systems (Siemens/Rockwell), MES/EBM systems, or Building Automation Systems (BAS)
- Experience in regulated manufacturing environments such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industries
- Proven ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives like Kaizen or DDFP
