Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Act as the site expert for all control systems, sensors, PLC, and communication protocols
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve systems to ensure high availability for production
• Manage automation, robotics, and control systems
• Perform troubleshooting for PLC, SCADA, cameras, and sensors
• Train technicians in control system troubleshooting basics
• Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment
• Manage documentation in CMMS and ticketing systems
• Conduct root cause analysis for failure events and implement improvement concepts

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or comparable industrial automation experience
• 3-4 years of experience with Siemens (TIA, WinCC, WinCC flexible), Cognex cameras (DataMan), and Rockwell (Studio 5000)
• Experience with automation projects, installation, commissioning, and CIP projects
• Knowledge of industrial protocols: EtherNet/IP, Profibus/Profinet, ASI-Bus, MODBUS/TCP
• Experience in material handling, flow control, SCADA, and MHE monitoring (desirable)
• Good German and advanced English language skills
• Willingness to work in shifts
