Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide automation support and troubleshooting services to operational groups
• Support design, implementation, and commissioning/qualification of new automation systems
• Provide budgetary and schedule estimates for automation related projects
• Lead automation specific projects to modify or improve equipment, facilities, and process controls
• Provide technical support and analysis for the resolution of deviations, investigations, and process issues
• Develop test scripts, automation procedures, and specifications
• Carry a cellular phone and be on call to support manufacturing operations

Requirements

• B.S. in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• 2-8+ years of relevant experience
• Familiarity with cGMP operations and 21 CFR Part 11 regulations
• Experience with pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical equipment commissioning, validation, and performance monitoring

Preferred Qualifications

• Troubleshooting PLC and SCADA systems
• Experience with Allen-Bradley and Johnson Controls
