Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and develop custom automated machinery tailored for trading card manufacturing
• Create and implement automation control systems to optimize machine performance
• Develop and integrate communication protocols for machinery coordination
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new machines into production lines
• Conduct thorough evaluations and testing of machine designs for safety and quality
• Provide technical support for troubleshooting and maintaining automated machinery
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance productivity
• Maintain detailed documentation of machine designs and control systems

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics or related field preferred
• Proven experience in designing and developing automated machinery
• Proficiency in automation control systems such as PLC and HMI
• Knowledge of communication protocols like Modbus, Ethernet/IP, or OPC

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with custom-built machinery for specific applications
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles
• Experience with CAD software and automation design tools
