About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide automation design and oversight for the delivery of Lilly's new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Concord, NC.
- Manage system integrators to deliver all aspects of automation for the new facility.
- Drive automation governance and replication across the Global Parenteral and Global Packaging Networks.
- Support corporate initiatives including life cycle management, engineering information management, and cybersecurity.
- Evaluate new technology and innovation trends to develop proof of concepts and use cases.
- Ensure automation design reflects safety concerns for operations and maintenance.
- Partner with colleagues to lead the discipline through solution assessment and development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in automation machine control, process control, or equivalent work experience.
- Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
- Expertise in Rockwell Automation Systems.
- Expertise in Rockwell FactoryTalk Batch software.
- Expertise in robotic and conveyor systems (preferably FANUC and/or Staubli).
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of GMPs and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Strong problem-solving skills in measurements, control systems, integration, and data.
- Experience with Microsoft Operating Systems and databases.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage people and projects to deliver common objectives.
