Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide automation design and oversight for the delivery of Lilly's new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Concord, NC.
• Manage system integrators to deliver all aspects of automation for the new facility.
• Drive automation governance and replication across the Global Parenteral and Global Packaging Networks.
• Support corporate initiatives including life cycle management, engineering information management, and cybersecurity.
• Evaluate new technology and innovation trends to develop proof of concepts and use cases.
• Ensure automation design reflects safety concerns for operations and maintenance.
• Partner with colleagues to lead the discipline through solution assessment and development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in automation machine control, process control, or equivalent work experience.
• Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• Expertise in Rockwell Automation Systems.
• Expertise in Rockwell FactoryTalk Batch software.
• Expertise in robotic and conveyor systems (preferably FANUC and/or Staubli).

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of GMPs and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Strong problem-solving skills in measurements, control systems, integration, and data.
• Experience with Microsoft Operating Systems and databases.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage people and projects to deliver common objectives.
