About the role

Responsibilities

  • Create Simulation Studies in Process Simulate on Teamcenter (Tecnomatix)
  • Maintain customer product manufacturing data for automated work centers
  • Maintain kinematic libraries of hardware systems in robotic simulations
  • Generate optimal assembly sequences and validate feasibility
  • Perform reach and access studies and validate assembly sequence logic
  • Program robots and automated systems to perform specific tasks
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing automation systems
  • Create and maintain documentation for automation and robotics systems
  • Train and mentor team members on automation and robotics systems
  • Monitor and analyze data from automation systems for improvements
  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to procure equipment

Requirements

  • Mechanical Engineering degree or 6+ years of manufacturing experience
  • 1+ years of Robotic Simulation studies or 2+ years of industrial robot programming (Kuka, ABB, FANUC, Yaskawa)
  • Proficiency in CAD (preferably NX) and Simulation Tools
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and climb ladders
  • Experience with Engineering and Metrology principles
  • Ability to lawfully access information subject to US export controls

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Robotics Simulation work
  • Experience optimizing collision-free robotic motion paths
  • Experience with manufacturing automation in automotive or aerospace environments
  • Experience with robotic material handling, vision systems, welding, or fastening
