About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement automated systems and processes to improve efficiency and productivity
  • Program and troubleshoot PLCs (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and HMIs
  • Develop and maintain control systems, including SCADA and DCS
  • Identify automation opportunities to reduce costs and improve manufacturing performance
  • Support the commissioning, installation, and testing of new equipment
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical system issues to minimize production downtime
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, quality, and production
  • Document automation processes, system configurations, and standard operating procedures
  • Analyze system performance data to drive continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or a related field)
  • 3+ years of professional experience in a related engineering role
  • Proven experience with control systems, automation systems, and robotics
  • Strong knowledge of PLC programming and industrial communication protocols
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting complex electrical and mechanical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and prints

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with industrial robotics (e.g., Fanuc, Yaskawa)
  • Knowledge of Industry 4.0 technologies, IoT, and data analytics
  • Experience with vision systems and machine learning applications
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Proficiency with CAD, SolidWorks, or Creo software
