About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement automated systems and processes to improve efficiency and productivity
- Program and troubleshoot PLCs (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and HMIs
- Develop and maintain control systems, including SCADA and DCS
- Identify automation opportunities to reduce costs and improve manufacturing performance
- Support the commissioning, installation, and testing of new equipment
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical system issues to minimize production downtime
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, quality, and production
- Document automation processes, system configurations, and standard operating procedures
- Analyze system performance data to drive continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or a related field)
- 3+ years of professional experience in a related engineering role
- Proven experience with control systems, automation systems, and robotics
- Strong knowledge of PLC programming and industrial communication protocols
- Proficiency in troubleshooting complex electrical and mechanical systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and prints
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with industrial robotics (e.g., Fanuc, Yaskawa)
- Knowledge of Industry 4.0 technologies, IoT, and data analytics
- Experience with vision systems and machine learning applications
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
- Proficiency with CAD, SolidWorks, or Creo software
