About the role

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and repair critical automated systems to ensure optimal functioning
  • Manage and maintain conveyor and sorting systems to maximize equipment availability
  • Create data visualizations of troubleshooting results for internal stakeholders
  • Lead or participate in continuous improvement projects within the EU control network
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate system documentation and backups
  • Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment and devices
  • Interpret machine and electrical sketches to develop IEC-61131-3-compliant code improvements
  • Train Engineering Technicians on troubleshooting and preventive maintenance procedures

Requirements

  • State-certified technician, electrical specialist, or Industrial Master with 4 years of automation experience
  • Proven experience with PLC-controlled automation and diagnostics in a production environment
  • Hands-on experience maintaining conveyor and sorting systems
  • Proficiency in Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or Codesys PLC programming
  • Knowledge of industrial networks including EthernetIP, Profinet, or Profibus
  • Fluency in both German and English (written and spoken)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, project management tools, or EPLAN

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Industrial Electronics
  • Working knowledge of ISO 13849 and ISO 62061 standards
  • Experience managing automation across multiple sites
  • Project management experience using Waterfall or Agile methodologies
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma, data analysis, or process improvement techniques
