About the role
Responsibilities
- Assemble, test, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair precision electronic and electro-mechanical devices
- Build and wire complex control panels and systems based on technical drawings and guidelines
- Design, fabricate, and assemble test fixtures and prototype systems
- Source electronic and mechanical components based on required performance specifications
- Contribute to the development of product assembly, test, calibration, and repair procedures
- Maintain tool, equipment, and component inventories for R&D and prototype systems
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety precautions and company safety policies
Requirements
- Associate's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering (additional years of experience may be substituted)
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience
- Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and schematics
- Proficiency with multi-meters, soldering/de-soldering tools, and various machine-shop or hand tools
- Strong mechanical and electrical fundamentals
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with prototype or low-volume electro-mechanical systems
- Working knowledge of Excel for basic manipulation and analysis of test data
