Automation Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technician II

Responsibilities

• Assemble, test, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair precision electronic and electro-mechanical devices
• Build and wire complex control panels and systems based on technical drawings and guidelines
• Design, fabricate, and assemble test fixtures and prototype systems
• Source electronic and mechanical components based on required performance specifications
• Contribute to the development of product assembly, test, calibration, and repair procedures
• Maintain tool, equipment, and component inventories for R&D and prototype systems
• Ensure compliance with laboratory safety precautions and company safety policies

Requirements

• Associate's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering (additional years of experience may be substituted)
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience
• Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and schematics
• Proficiency with multi-meters, soldering/de-soldering tools, and various machine-shop or hand tools
• Strong mechanical and electrical fundamentals

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with prototype or low-volume electro-mechanical systems
• Working knowledge of Excel for basic manipulation and analysis of test data
