About the role
Responsibilities
- Execute the site digitalization and automation roadmap, developing and sustaining machine and process control software.
- Develop, configure, and debug PLC programs, HMIs, and robot controller code aligned to functional requirements.
- Integrate and validate electrical controls components including sensors, actuators, pneumatics, conveyors, and robotic interfaces.
- Implement robotics solutions across multiple vendors such as Omron, ABB, and FANUC.
- Execute commissioning plans and equipment runoff to verify functionality, safety interlocks, and HMI usability.
- Provide troubleshooting support for hardware-software integration and HMI issues to improve equipment uptime.
- Support digitalization initiatives, including machine data capture and SQL/database tracking for manufacturing performance.
Requirements
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 10+ years of experience with an Electrical Engineering degree.
- Proficiency in Omron Sysmac PLC programming.
- Experience with Allen-Bradley Studio 5000.
- HMI development experience (Omron NA, PanelView, or Ignition).
- Knowledge of industrial networking fundamentals (e.g., Ethernet/IP).
- Robotics integration experience (Omron, ABB, or FANUC).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in OEM or system integrator environments.
- Exposure to scripting or programming languages such as SQL, Visual Basic, or Python.
- Experience with factory or site acceptance testing (FAT/SAT).
