Automation Developer - IT

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation solutions for enterprise Storage and Backup platforms
• Build and manage a centralized automation repository using industry best practices
• Automate repetitive operational workflows based on standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Develop monitoring and watchdog mechanisms to ensure automation accuracy and reliability
• Implement automation using Python, Ansible, and PowerShell, integrating with enterprise tools
• Ensure security, integrity, and access controls across all automation workflows
• Support automation changes and releases through ITIL / ServiceNow Change Management
• Create and maintain clear technical documentation and operational runbooks
• Collaborate with global engineering teams to improve platform stability and scalability

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Automation, or a related field
• 6–8 years of hands-on IT automation experience in enterprise environments
• Proficiency in Python and Ansible
• Experience with DevOps tools including Jenkins and Git/Git repositories
• Solid understanding of SDLC, CI/CD, and DevOps principles
• Experience supporting enterprise Storage and Backup operations
• Ability to work flexible shifts (e.g., 11am-8pm or 2pm-11pm)

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of PowerShell and Power BI skills
• Working knowledge of Database queries, functions, and stored procedures
