About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of automation and process control infrastructure.
- Design and commission control systems by configuring and developing DCS and PLC software.
- Develop DCS graphics to enable efficient control room operator response and process knowledge.
- Manage DCS and Safety Interlock System (SIS) software to achieve area goals and verify configuration changes.
- Provide programming support and commission new instrumentation, including basic administration of DCS and PLC systems.
- Lead minor and medium capital improvement automation projects and participate in DCS/SIS related reviews.
- Act as a technical resource for operations and maintenance regarding procedures, training, and standards.
- Support 24/7 site operations as part of a team providing control systems assistance.
Requirements
- BS in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
- 10+ years of experience designing and implementing process control strategies.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience configuring, supporting, and maintaining DCS and/or PLC systems.
- 1+ years of experience working in a chemical or industrial manufacturing environment.
- Ability and willingness to work onsite in New Johnsonville, TN.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Honeywell DCS systems.
- Experience supporting safety systems and working with Process Safety Management (PSM).
- Knowledge of Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA), or Safety Interlock Systems (SIS).
- Experience leading control system projects using site Management of Change (MOC) processes.
