Automatic Press Operator

Responsibilities

• Set up, change over, and operate automated metal stamping lines according to production specifications
• Monitor equipment during production to ensure process parameters and indicators are within range
• Perform quality checks and use fixtures or templates to verify work pieces meet specifications
• Set up specific part programs and parameters for presses, feed lines, and dies
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and identify the cause of errors, problems, or defects
• Maintain production logs, documents, and die racks in an organized manner
• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and overhead cranes
• Perform basic maintenance and repair tasks, including fixing broken punches or die sections

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
• 2-5 years of experience in metal stamping press operation
• Proven experience with setups, changeovers, and loading coils
• Proficiency with standard shop measuring tools, hand tools, and basic math computations
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings
• Ability to follow and enforce strict safety procedures
• Must be willing to train on 1st or 2nd shift for at least 90 days before transitioning to 3rd shift
