Automatic Press Operator

Responsibilities

• Set up, change over, and operate automated lines according to production specifications
• Monitor equipment and check process parameters to ensure proper function
• Set up part programs and parameters for metal stamping presses, feed lines, and dies
• Perform quality checks to verify die setup prior to production runs
• Examine work pieces for defects and measure conformance using fixtures or templates
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and identify causes of errors or defects
• Operate material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and overhead cranes
• Maintain production documents, logs, and die racks

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
• 2 years of experience in manufacturing
• Experience operating metal stamping presses
• Experience with setups and changeovers
• Experience with overhead crane loading coils
• Proficiency with standard shop measuring tools and hand tools
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and engineering drawings
• Ability to perform basic equipment maintenance
