About the role
Responsibilities
- Load, set up, and operate autoclaves and auxiliary equipment to cure and bond metallic, fiberglass, and carbon fiber aircraft parts
- Connect thermocouples and vacuum lines to fittings on tool ports and plugs
- Monitor instruments, switches, and recorders to ensure conformance to specifications
- Populate and confirm part numbers and port information into computerized operating systems
- Adjust manual controls and enter commands to regulate power supply, cooling, vacuum, heat, and pressure
- Maintain a neat work area in compliance with FOD and 5S programs
- Retrieve, prep, and release lay-up tools from storage
- Clean and store tools containing cured parts
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- 1 to 2 years of related autoclave operational experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electronic travel documents
- Proficiency with precision measuring devices (micrometers, dial calipers)
- Basic computer skills and ability to use computerized operating systems
- Ability to lift 40 lbs
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with overhead cranes, forklifts, and electric tow mules
- Ability to obtain a Q-Stamp within 12 months
