About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement high-quality engineering models and drawing solutions for Transmission Network Projects (132kV and above)
- Prepare feasibility and detailed design models and drawings, including plans, sections, elevations, and schedules
- Ensure all deliverables comply with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards
- Coordinate models with multi-disciplinary teams in alignment with BIM execution plans
- Manage and progress allocated workloads efficiently to meet project deadlines
- Maintain drawing office databases and contribute to auditable design change systems
- Provide guidance and support to team members and keep stakeholders updated on progress
Requirements
- HNC in Civil Engineering or proven engineering experience within Transmission Substation Design
- Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD 2022
- Experience with 2D/3D modelling of civil and structural elements (e.g., RC detailing, steelwork, or drainage)
- Understanding of engineering design principles and BIM Level 2 workflows
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Full UK driving license
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Revit 2024, Civil 3D 2022, or Raster Design 2020
- Familiarity with Vault, ACC, or ProjectWise
- Knowledge of British Standards (BS) and technical detailing for construction
